A playthrough of Acclaim's 1996 horror interactive movie for the Sony PlayStation, D.

Both endings are included. The best ending (1:17:55) is at the end of the playthrough. The bad ending follows it directly (1:24:12).

D is a really well-done FMV/interactive movie/horror game that sports some insanely high quality CG (remember, this was 1995!). This prerendered CGI makes up the entirety of the in-game graphics, but unlike games where the video plays non-stop, there are "junctions" that allow you to use an item or move at predetermined stops (it's very much like Juggernaut, also on the PS1, or Lunacy on the Saturn, or Mansion of Lost Souls on the Sega CD), and all the movement in-between is on-rails. It also appeared on just about every viable system in the 1995-96 time frame, including PS1 (obviously), PC, 3DO, and the Saturn (you can see my playthrough of that version, done on real hardware, here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dZRcirUNp0c)

D was followed by two other games: Enemy Zero (Saturn, 1997/PC, 1998) and D2 (Dreamcast, 2000).

This one has with it a 2-hour time limit, and there's no save option, which is a really neat way to build tension within the plot. The game isn't hard, so you probably won't run out of time more than once or twice before you figure it all out, but the attention to detail, dramatic camera work, and cliched but still awesome soundtrack really help sell the "horror movie" package - the haunted house feeling is also quite unlike any other game I've played, most notably Phantasmagoria for the PC and Saturn.

The ending is a bit gruesome, and there are some really surprisingly graphic reveals that happen with the in-game cutscenes. According to the story (at least, if I recall it properly), the lead designer, Kenji Ino, swapped the approved-by-Sony-for-mastering set of discs and swapped them with his original, graphic, uncensored original version's discs right before putting them into the hands of whoever was responsible for pressing the masters. Who says you can't fight censorship? Well, the sequels are on Sega systems because Sony got apparently was pissed at the deception and shorted the original print run by a considerable amount (they didn't even fulfill the number of preorders made), thus dramatically undermining potential sales for the game.

There are also some extremely funny (albeit unintentionally) moments in the game, usually due to the awkwardly stilted animation: my favorite has to be when Laura is trying to wrestle the key from the skeleton's hand. Lmao!
