A playthrough of Kemco's 1990 NES game, North and South.

This playthrough shows playing through each of the four years of the Civil War, once each as both the Union and as the Confederacy.

This is such an amazingly fun game! It's based off on a French comic (I don't believe it was ever published in English, but leave it to Infogrames) that itself was based on the American Civil War, and the game turns the affair into an awesome multiplayer action/strategy game that doesn't feel like a half-cooked PC (Amiga) game port, but rather it's been pretty well adapted to the NES. It isn't particularly accurate on the finer points of Civil War history, but if you don't have a blast playing it, you might want to check to see if you still have a pulse.

It also has a really amusing sense of humor. I'm a fan of the clickable butt of the photographer on the option screen, personally.
