Dante's Inferno - Carnal Tower shenanigans
21Some glitches and observations from the areas Carnal Tower and Above the Lust Storm.

0:00 - if you do a high enough jump while riding an elevator in Lust, you eventually get control over the camera and are able to check out what the scenery looks like in detail.
As you'd expect, the elevator itself is suspended in nothingness with the background graphics constantly looping to give the illusion of movement. The background graphics also only cover one half of the elevator, cheapening the illusion once you see the whole picture.
Looking upwards, you can see the next part of the Lust elevator set piece high above Dante - sadly, it's far higher than is convenient to jump, even with the new jump tactics.
0:40 - if you do a high jump into a polevault next to the climbing wall leading to the very top of the tower, Dante will hit the cutscene trigger and fall to his death at the same time.
This makes the pre-boss cutscene begin, but you can't see any of it due to the camera being stuck. Dante finally dies immediately once gameplay resumes at the end. Retry takes him to the start of the boss fight.
(Yeah, the glitched cutscene goes on for a while...)
2:33 - if you escape the Cleopatra + Marc Antony boss fight, you can explore the area below without any graphics. You can also absolve the nearby soul, who is currently invisible.
4:12 - if you save and load game after having escaped the boss fight, your game is now unwinnable. The cutscene trigger that would start the boss fight no longer exists, so you're just stuck in the area.
4:35 - after having escaped, you can also start air climbing. Use Divine Shield and then start climbing up as fast as you can. The invisible wall at the top will displace Dante, allowing him to continue climbing outside of the climbing wall.
This isn't "useful" per se, since there's nowhere to really go from here. But at least you can admire the cool looking scenery while air climbing.
5:57 - just out of curiosity I also tried out what happens if you hit the bottom of the map while air climbing. The answer is: Dante disappears like usual. I don't recommend ever trying this out for yourself since it takes almost 30 minutes to slide down to the bottom of the map while air climbing.
