Dead Space Part 12: The Dreaded Cannon Section
0In order to ramble/rant for this video, I will be mentioning some spoilers so if you haven’t seen/played up to this section then I would advise you to stop reading this. So, we continue to run around the ship and rerouting the power to the ship’s defensives systems. As you might already assume from the title, the systems don’t automatically return and it’s up to Isaac to protect us till they do. You might also notice that I really don’t like this particular section of the game; I think when I did this the first time around, I failed like seven or eight times. For those unfamiliar with this section, we are asked by Hamond to man the Cannon until the system can restart itself which means we take some time to transition to this little minigame. All we have to do is shoot the incoming asteroids which might sound easy but the movement of the cannon seem to be off; At times, it feels like the reticle is going to fly off the screen and then other times it feels like it takes years to move just an inch. The inconsistent movement always make me nervous to play this section because, as I’ve mentioned before, I wasn’t very good at it before. Either way, we do have to make sure our defense system is back up online otherwise we would have more issues than just the Necromorphs.
