While everyone else is using Freya in the Challenge Quest exclusively as a mission quota filler, I will kick Lufenia arse with her once again.

So I was intending to use Machina as Freya's CA here since he's the only LD call besides Ramza (who's in my party), and I wanted to showcase Freya with an LD call. Unfortunately, the lad took all of my tickets with no LD to show for it. I am going to try and recuperate my tickets (I have loads banked from Ultimate Summon Boards, but want to avoid dipping into it too much), but February is a big month for me pull wise so it might be tough. Hopefully I can bring another LD call on Freya in the next one or something.

Anyway the stage itself wasn't that difficult, Freya is a featured character so obviously the stage is designed with her in mind (personally I think every stage would be tested with most characters by the devs though, people tend to forget that they'd likely have to do that, way more characters are useful than the GL hivemind realise - speaking as a video game QA Tester myself). It does have some tricky gimmicks though. Turn count is low because Ramza's HP Attack+++ doesn't consume turn count and they want to highlight that. I brought Noctis too since he also can save on turns. Someone like Ramza or Beatrix is needed to deal with the Lufenia Orb (cast six buffs at once, so at least two per party member), I took Beatrix CA on Ramza to give me an extra go at pushing up the Orb as Ramza still has limited skill uses. Also the boss needs to take a decent amount of launch damage to remove his dark aura so you can debuff him again and prevent his dispel attack, so Ramza covered that. I intended to use Dark Knight Cecil CA to help with that but forgot about the elemental absorb Diabolos has here so he didn't do much.

Most of the fight is just preventing Diabolos from getting many turns, though we do eventually run out of delay options so at that point I try to prevent too many breaks and generally just try to keep safe. I think I used a Ramza LD in a bad place as I let Diabolos get his dark aura up at the end, preventing me from placing Noctis' Point-Blank Warp so Noctis lost his ability to follow-up at the end, but Diabolos was nearly finished and I had enough skills to just spam to finish him.

The battery between Freya and Ramza is also really good. Freya is doing over 40K battery outside of summon phase with Reis' Wind! Also Cherry Blossom was hitting really big numbers here, which was really fun.

I'll admit I'm feeling a bit worn out by the game at this point, especially with the Divine Diabolos grind (at least I can use Freya for that too), but I will try to keep this up for at least a bit more.

Also I have a pet peeve now - my Freya now has 20 CP spare after the Lv. 80 Awakening and equipping the new passives. That is exactly the amount of a new equipment passive or two, or four more 5 CP artifact passives which I do have for her. C'mon, just let me equip those as a trade-off for having to wait forever for her LD and High Armour. :P
