Bowser's Fury (Switch) - Casual Speedrun Practice.
I was taking a break from a personal project I've been working on and had a hankering to play this game after already 100%'ing it on launch day, so I decided to try a quick speedrunning attempt. I did practice and research a bit up until the second Bowser fight give or take but anything beyond that is just going for whichever shine seems closest and is generally pretty sloppy.
Definitely not really a good run but that's OK, it's just for fun. I don't know how serious I want to get about speedrunning this game. I did used to do casual Rosalina speedruns in 3D World on the Wii U, though they were just individual level runs, not the full game. However, I'm finding myself interested in speedrunning Bowser's Fury. It's not a very long game and the fast movement combined with the need to route out the Cat Shines reminds me a lot of Spyro 1, which has always been one of my favourite games to casually speedrun.
I didn't actually record the time, in fact this wasn't supposed to be a full run and just a practice attempt but I ended up following through to the end. The video is almost exactly an hour though. I won't be submitting this to any leaderboards or anything, but I may as well upload it here since I have the footage, perhaps people can glean something from it. Also serves as a nice test of my capture card with my mClassic hooked up to the Switch.
