DFFOO [JP][En. Campaign MQ Series 2 Part 2] Moths drawn to the flame
Part 2/5 of the Enhancement Campaign Mission Quest. This time it is for fist/bow user.
You can clearly nuke the main boss with Cid Raines or Tifa, but since Tifa has been showing up way too much lately and I literally used Cid Raines for the initial clear when this stage first debut, so I opted for an older character (Prishe) and a slower pace this time.
Funny enough, my first clear was actually with Gau instead of Prishe. Gau's mechanic is very sound for this stage, and perhaps a little bit too good for it. 10 HP dumps with Rubi and his counters killed the adds way too quickly, and the boss would just keep resummoning them. The run took a bit too long for my liking and boss got a lot of turns, consuming the debuffs near the end. So I chose this one instead.

Shinryu stage is an early FR echo stage. It has quite a bit of HP but FR echo is not really needed even for a 1FT finish.
Again just to reiterate a few key points but not all details, as it is a previously seen stage. Notable things about this stage:
1. Boss + Adds:
Boss repeatedly off-turn resummon adds if they are killed. You can't stop it and there is no end to it until it dies. Resummoned adds would immediately gain 100K BRV and can possibly jump to a place before your characters on the turn queue. This can be a quick and sudden death if you are not careful.
Sniping the boss with focused heavy ST dmg allows you to avoid this problem altogether. If you want to be a bit less bombastic, delays can be another countermeasure. Tanks like Rubicante or Gladio, who simply would not die to any single hit is good for this as well. Put them here and ignore the adds as if they don't exist at all. Adds only ST attack, so any tank units drawing fire would nullify the threat.
Prishe the OG 12-HP hit enjoyer can still wreck some serious havoc. Though honestly having double BRV numbers on the screen seems to lag the game a fair bit.
2. Boss has VERY HIGH defence
Not only very high natural defence, it also further increases defence later in the stage. The adversity is compounded by the fact that adds die very quickly in later phases of the fight and all debuffs would be dropping. Split dmg characters are also at quite a disadvantage here, as there are 3 targets.
You would need to reapply at least some DEF down or get additional BRV gain through buffs/CAs to maintain dmg near the end. Don't be surprised if 1 BRV dmg is showing up at some point.
Serah is actually very good for this stage. She is a recently updated bow user and she has a lot of dmg support and debuffs. You do need to watch out for the duration of the debuffs though especially if adds are dying and making the main boss move too much.
That's about it. Watch out for the resummoned adds. Careful not to let the DEF down or BRV support drop and this would be a cake walk.
