[DFFOO JP][Llyud Event Lufenia+] Noel, Llyud, Ashe Ex everywhere | Initial Clear
Might be a bit disappointing, but these 3 have so much CC, damage and rebreaks that the boss did not get to do much, so I probably don't know all of the boss mechanics and how Llyud fully works yet lol. I wanted to clear it first so that I have the crystals to awaken Zell for further testing.
Also, I have Llyud's artifacts but I forgot to put them on 🤣. His artifacts are mainly max HP boosters for himself (up to 15% each if 2 stars). Should he had them his batteries would have got even bigger numbers.
Reduction:
90/70 BRV:BRV gain
Orb: (Limit 10)
+10: Basically hurt yourself and lose HP, not because of taking HP damage from boss
I am thinking of Ardyn (LD), Galuf, DKC and Vivi who would be the non-synergy picks for this orb. I may try Vivi when he gets his awakening later (if the event is still on).
Boss mechanics (?):
To be honest, other than the generic attacks in the description, I didn't notice anything crazy happening during HP thresholds. I even killed one boss and the other does not seem to enrage and cleanse things.
As far as I can tell, other than one specific attack, all of their hits inflict a debuff approximately translates to (pardon my poor Japanese) cursed gaze.
It is a stacking debuff that lowers your ATK, DEF and causes BRV damage. More effects appear as the stack increases. I went back to the stage and let them hit me, I got to 3 but it did not seem to do anything beyond that, but it could be the cause of a + version of an hard hitting AoE attack (Demon's eyes(?)).
I think only after a few times they hit you, they will do the AoE attack. That one does about 12K AoE damage, so back to back is quite lethal. I haven't seen the + version yet, but it is said to be additionally delaying all targets by 1 turn.
Every time they hit you, they also get an attack buff. They don't seem to have many attack patterns though. This initial run let them moved few times, and they didn't seem to have cycled into the spicy bits yet.
My assumption is, judging by the synergy characters Ami, Noel and Zell who are turn denying units with turn deletion and rebreaks, the intended way is just to not let them move in the first place. Imo they don't seem to be that intimidating that I have to avoid them moving by any means necessary though.
Regarding this team:
Pretty much revolving around EX cycles. I did not do 100% Noel EX uptime here, since Llyud did occasionally have to break away and use either LD or S1 to hurt himself and keep the orb alive. The basic principle idea is for Noel to delay one and Ashe EX to paralyze one, then EX recharge with either Ashe's LD transformed HP attack or Llyud's EX.
This mutual team Ex recharging is quite effective as well, since the LONG list of Llyud's buffing auras mostly come from his slow recharging EX. Ashe being there will help him use enough EXs faster and without spending all of his LDs to get to 5 stacks. It is a win-win situation.
About Llyud:
I don't daresay I know everything about him yet. From what I have seen so far, the general impression is he is like a flying BT aura (wanted to say walking but you know). Another way of describing him is, he is like a really dedicated friend to his party. Contrary to what we have seen so far in DFFOO, his buffs on teammates are actually stronger than the version on himself. He even hurts himself to heal and battery the party. Talk about dedication lol.
His strongest buffing auras come from the EX (excluding himself, party 100% ATK, 35% overflow, 30% HP dmg up), and as I have said before, you need 5 stacks to get the maximum benefits. His recharge is slow, so relying on normal skill uses alone will take a long time. You may need to front load some LDs to facilitate that. This honestly reminds me of a little bit of how people used to describe Xande.
BEWARE:
One thing I must say though, I saw a lot of people said 100% BRV dmg for the party when allies have over 50% HP. I checked the in-game Japanese description and Dissidia Compendium, as far as I can tell the 80% is for himself, not party-wide.
His LD does come with 40% party-wide BRV dmg up, an additional 10% p-HP damage up and more overflow. He also has last stand when his HP is above 50% with LD buff on. So overall I would say his party-wide is still on BT worthy level.
If those are still not enough, his C88 heals, has 30% more party-wide ATK up and 20% BRV dmg cap up, which is really nice for boosting damage. You can also use his free skill after EX on this, so it is very sustainable.
Llyud overall operates on using his LD and S1 to hurt himself, then battery the party. His LD sucks 50% off of his life, and convert it into 600% battery. Beware that it is still susceptible to BRV gain reduction so maybe bring Y'shtola or get more unique artifacts to boost his max HP.
His S2, EX, C88 all heals and his buffs include HP regen, so unless you neglect him or spam too much S1/LD, he should not be that easy to die on top of having last stand.
