• Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Hacker's Memor...
The last of my chapter 17 battles, Steam Dealers Leader. This one's an optional case that I intentionally postponed until I could come scan Neptunemon, meaning until after the battle against Arcadiamon Ultra.
Neptunemon is our long-awaited replacement for MegaKabuterimon, the party of three that we have having served us quite well for a large portion of the game. Being a piercer, it boasts way more application than Merukimon, who's yet another unremarkable high-strength Digimon that doesn't really inflict all that much damage to bosses (in random battles, he's okay as the rest of them).
I lead with a party that I used against Digimon I wanted to scan for a long time, Datamon being a must for scanning Megas, though it's not like I want GroundLocomon's scan data all that much - he's just handy for the collection.
The bosses are all Mega-level of mixed type - Virus and Data, GroundLocomon being one of the latter. By inflicting Bug with SkullSatamon's Character Reversal, we can now enjoy a type advantage against all three enemy Digimon if we use a party of Vaccines. The damage output is still heavy enough, with a lot of AoE being thrown around, and RustTyranomon even paralyses us with his special, but it's generally fairly safe after we land the Bug status as intended.
Chapter 18 introduces even more piercing Digimon that we can add to our party, just in time for the final battles.
