Though the final bosses may have been defeated, the postgame content, as little as there may be of it in this title, still remains. Offline Colosseum's Legendary Cup is in fact unlocked even earlier, in chapter 16, but postponing allows entering the cup with the advantage of having better Mega piercers and better accessories, so delaying our entry by two chapters is a worthwhile choice.
This time around, we face nine enemy parties consisting of anywhere from one to three Digimon. They tend to act twice as often as our party, which is troublesome when there are three of them. This applies to two battles only however. All of the Digimon fought here are Mega level.
I bring Vaccine, Virus and Data teams to swap between them in-between fights, and sometimes I substitute them in the midst of a battle (occasionally also due to a Gryphonmon Bug proc - if you've been closely following this run, you'll know how entertaining these are when they happen). The triple BlackWayGreymon team is likely my hardest-hitting type party, and it's reasonable to go with this one against the three Free-types in Imperialdramon Dragon Mode, Valkyrimon and Vikemon; however, Imperialdramon's water weakness calls for Neptunemons, who also buff their water-type damage by 45% (if I'm doing maths right, having 45% extra stats SHOULD be superior to boosting existing damage by 45%; then again, this is piercing moves we're talking about). The less predictable outcome is the opposition wiping out my team multiple times over, and as destructive Free-types they can do that against any of them.
The other battle against three Digimon is the last fight versus Rosemon, MegaGargomon and HiAndromon. All but Rosemon, who is data, are vaccine, making a Data party logical, but in my experience attempts to overpower these three with two Gryphonmons and a Plesiomon inevitably fail. On the other hand, if all three BlackWarGreymons are alive to benefit from the full attack boost they grant themselves (not the case in this video, sadly), Rosemon can be 2HKO'd by Black Tornado. If she isn't... Let's just say she'll try to outheal you with her special. MegaGargomon is easily second priority due to being such an absurd nuke with Burst Shot and Acceleration Boost.
I never showed any cup footage earlier, but this one seems deserving of attention. I guess I'll want to show off the Master Cup as well, if that one is even winnable, that is.
