https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/njzd2001 In my search for the materal for this series over 11 seasons, with a 12th one on the way this November/December, I've turned also to going over wads that aren't as well known by well-known authors. It also gives me a take into how a author and mappers has evolved over time, The journey isn't easy but I find hidden gems often this way and this is one here which is by Enjay, author of a more than a few legendary wads.

Released on February 22nd 2001, This megawad of 32 maps is a re-imagining of Enjay's Enjay DooM from 1994 with a new coat of paint retelling the story of Doom II with the fanciest sourceport features that Zdoom offered at the time. Map01 pays tribute to Quakes first techbase level with others being a mix of techbase, slime rivers, and industrial zones, and for 2001 there's a few issues but there's also pretty impressive stuff to Enjay Zdoom 2001.

The first part is that a lot the maps are very obvious by their design so it's quite hard to get lost until the final episode, The placement of artifacts such as in holes in walls that seem impossible to reach is something of a pet peeve of me as there are times in other wads and in this megawad's case that I never could find a way to reach the item. There's some stand out maps but towards the end the maps look somewhat rough, Despite that, I've always gravitated toward Enjay's work for its creativity and outside the box design.

[[Like I showed on my videos of BGPA Missions Liberation, and on Enjay Doom, Enjay has a flair for making wads and (in cases) mods which to some may look ordinary or bland but to me, That's a calling card for Enjay where he takes the doom textures we all know and creates something new.

I'll confess that during the original video, I wasn't really using the sourceport's jump key, as jumping in Doom seemed very out of place, I was used to having to run over a ledge to jump like in Vanilla Doom but I have seen that more and more wad makers are requiring this so I embraced the jump key. I know it breaks maps sometimes, But I do it to see what I can get away with post video.]]
