https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/megawads/1monster There are some wads I probably would've never found if it hadn't been for me finding a doom wad music playlist set up by Doom youtuber TheV1perK1ller which has a bunch of names that are both familiar and unfamiliar to me, and this megawad was a surprise as it has such a simple concept but plays well enough for anyone to pickup.

1 Monster was released in October 2007 and is a 25 map megawad lead by Dr. Zin, and Liberation with a group of authors including Torn, Dutch Devil, and Scwiba. Each map contains exactly 1 monster type except map10 where both Pain Elementals and Lost Souls appears, The maps in question are all different themes such as imps being techbases and nature/library settings, sewers filled with chaingunners, Barons in a hellish citadel and Spectres at a massive mausoleum.

The ammo issue I can look past as this wad does a good balance between the single monster type combined with some impressive midis of music by Iron Maiden, KoRn, and several other bands mixed with the usual doom music, The only big issue I had was the final map, which is map24 the one true god, spawn traps which telefrag you like in TNT Evilution's Last Call I really do not like.

[[Of all the seasons that Doom Wads/Mods has had, Season 5 was the one I never felt satisfied with, I had put it on and off many times as I was struggling with a HP laptop that wouldn't run right, its two processers were actually lagging my game for no reason, and the material I chose I didn't exactly connect with most of Season 5's wads and mods.

The one rare exception was 1 Monster where it stood out among the 2007 wads I had downloaded, It's another regular play with or without mods. The one thing it could've done with was again a better finale map but I think its a solid megawad despite this]]
