https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/Ports/megawads/swideath I've had my days when nothing goes right, or I enter a mod or wad for the first time and get throttled so badly. I learned this lesson well with the Slaughterfest trilogy, Scythe II's last episode, and this release by 3 Hours De Agonie mapper Franck Livolant (FranckFRAG) with guess stars JC Dorne and Memfis who pieced together 32 very very hard maps that are vicious, cold, evil, and, in a way, creative.

Swift Death was released on November 12th 2015 and was honored as a winner at the 2015 Cacoawards. Our story is that we're a tortured soul in hell, we've suffered for so long and our journey to escape is frought with peril and death, each of these maps are very short similar to the small puzzle box maps that FranckFRAG made famous within the 3 Hours De Agonie trilogy and are similar in difficulty to that of a burning sensation when you place your hand on a stove top that's on.

Like the name of the megawad, You can go from zero to dead within a few seconds as the maps are cramped and very claustrophobic, ammo is placed like a combat puzzle so you'll need to do some fast footwork while taking out enemies without blowing the entire ammo layout, and further along some maps require EXTREMELY precise running jumps, Tyson movement, and using meatshield demons to avoid monsters above you and below, I haven't gotten far in this wad so far across 3 years, Map32 which is the super-secret map is just... tiring and I'm stuck there.

[[Like Slaughterfest 2011, I made a big mistake going into Swift Death without any knowledge on it or what kind of style of gameplay I needed to get through it, The first time which was not on the original video I had to go to Toilet Break difficulty which was the wad's version of I'm Too Young To Die, and even today I can only bring myself to do the megawad on either the skill equivalents to Hey not too rough and Hurt Me Plenty.

Swift Death to me kind of reminds me in a way Hell Revealed and its sequel for its relentless difficulty but being smaller in size, and in a way, I've grown to both dislike and also respect Swift Death for what it is and how its different from other megawads which are very hard. It doesn't go the slaughter route like some wads but feels like a page from Ribbiks for the placement of enemies and emphasis on movement, Maybe one day I'll be able to finish this razor wire draped megawad]]
