I've dabbled in various doom wads that are Russian, French, Spanish, even a few from the Czech Republic among others but now its time to meet the one wad that nearly replaced 3 Heures D'Agonie in Season 13, The one and only Italian DooM Episodo 1.
Authored by the Trio of Ultimate Lorenzo (Lorenzo Davia), Leonardo Venturelli (BuzzBomber), and Ismaele (Alberto Sposito), This 8 level PWAD was released on October 9th 2005. What hits first is a silent intro with music to set the mood, and like other projects in 2005, This one is spiked with some different design decisions vs the usual Doom wad with some impressive mapping for 2005. It's difficulty is mixed where you'll see some combat pieces that I wasn't expecting, especially that trapped cacodemon death roll.
[[Yes, I originally planned to do 3 Hueres D'Agonie later and then this one first but I decided the french wad was more interesting. Thats not to say this wad isn't interesting, far from it. I enjoyed Italian DooM for the challenge it gives and its mapping]]
