DuckTales (NES) Playthrough Part 3b - Amazon and Dracula Duck [Best Ending]

I really wanted to try and achieve the BEST ending at least once, and since my single sweep of all the stages fell short of the goal, I thought I'd try again. Fortunately there are enough diamond pick-ups around the Amazon to reach the goal before the return to Transylvania. The trick to get this ending is to take up Launchpad's ride back to Duckburg at least once, and possibly run into Gyro Gearloose in a bonus stage, when you fly back and have a '7' in the 5th digit of your accumulated total.
Launchpad appears in all the stages except Transylvania, strange how he does show up in the MOON to FLY you back to Duckburg... Anyways, once you get a lift home, he won't reappear again in the respective stage. The treasures will respawn appropriately, except for key items and hidden treasures.
There is an even more bizarre ending in which you have to complete the game with a score of $0. Looks like the developers thought of EVERYTHING lol. $0 Ending: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KZYiPPkzLs8
