So... early last month, Duet celebrated its one-year anniversary on Steam! =) Which got me thinking, it'd been a while since my last Duet video... maybe I should record something...

...and then it hit me (ow). Since the procedural generation for the Dailies and Nightlies basically follows a 7-day pattern... how about a 7-day challenge? (i.e. 7 Dailies/Nightlies in a row, keeping track of the total number of times you bump into a wall!) ^_^

Unfortunately, I didn't think of this in time to either start or end a run on Aug 3... so rather than the beginning of the month, I thought I'd record a 7-day run at the end of the month instead!

So I did. =) I recorded the last 7 Nightly Challenges of the month... and going in, I was hoping to keep the total number of bumps to 7 or less (i.e. an average of 1 per day). Which, come to think of it... probably would've been an impossible goal, a year ago. ^^; I remember in one of my earlier Nightly Challenges, I bumped into something like 40 walls... maybe 50? ^^;; I've had a lot more practice since then, though. =)

Anyway, I had a lot of fun recording this 7-day challenge... here's the video, hope you enjoy!


Some notes and possible points of interest:

0:14 Day 1: 25 Aug 2016 (Thu) - hopeless
0:17 Oh, if anybody was wondering, doing a little spin at the beginning isn't just for fun. =) Because not all Dailies/Nightlies are the same speed, doing a spin at the beginning (when there's no danger of bumping into anything) lets you get a feel for how fast it actually is... so you won't get caught off-guard if the first set of walls approaches faster (or slower!) than you otherwise might've expected! ^^
1:41 Day 2: 26 Aug 2016 (Fri) - absurd
2:06 Ack, panicked a bit and made the same mistake twice in a row. =p
3:22 Day 3: 27 Aug 2016 (Sat) - inconceivable
3:58 ...and it was going so well. ^^;
4:44 Day 4: 28 Aug 2016 (Sun) - impassable
5:54 Day 5: 29 Aug 2016 (Mon) - hopeless
7:03 Day 6: 30 Aug 2016 (Tue) - absurd
8:12 Day 7: 31 Aug 2016 (Wed) - inconceivable
9:01 7-day challenge... complete! =)
