Etrian Odyssey HD Boss 5: Ant Queen

This boss fight is hard because it's a war of attrition. Her attacks don't hit hard it's just that she has 5500 HP, for reference that's double what Cernunnos had. Her main attack is duster which doesn't do any damage but has a high chance to blind you, granted you can cure it immediately but the fact that you have to stop and apply the cure does warrant mentioning because it further stalls out the fight which can be a challenge when there are ants infinitely spawning in to join her, keep an eye on the minimap, and sonic bombs weren't an item in this series yet. The ants themselves can't really do that much other than just attack you and slow you down. The challenge comes from this being the most resource heavy boss up to this point in the game, but it's still way better than her fight in Etrian odyssey nexus because she can't just heal off 25% of her HP instantly. In fact she can't heal at all so any damage clocked on her will stay.
