F1 (Amiga) - A Playguide and Review - by LemonAmiga.com
F1 is an update to the Vroom series of games, and is perhaps the last and the best one. There are 12 tracks of high speed action, so if you liked Vroom, why not check this out.

We are currently playing this game in the Lemon Vs EAB Superleague competition, and although I often record footage during a competition and then sit on it for a couple of years, this time I decided to make and release this while the compo was still going on. I've always loved the Vroom games, and this gave me a chance to really test my skills.
The quick run of Leg 1 went very well, but my recording of Leg 2 expert mode got corrupted, when I dragged the file to my work hard drive just as the computer froze. I tried to re-record 2 perfect races again, but I crashed out and got a bad score 7 times in a row. In the end I decided to just record any expert try in which I got to the third round, and then just record a play in Novice mode just to explain and show all the courses. Spa is rather difficult but also rewarding if you get a good lap, so I sacrificed one lap of Hockenheim footage and ran the Spa race a bit longer.
The first Sign joke was meant to be the Car-loss Signs joke, but I changed it. Later I crash again and the joke ended up going in after all. The Alain Prost/ Later Nigel Mansell reference was about how they drove smoothly, and carefully; knowing the slowest way around the track is the fastest way around the track; as late braking causes overshoots, which ultimately cause tyre wear, slower lap times, and more mistakes. By anticipating and driving carefully, its possible to avoid crashes and maintain a steady rhythm - while in 'the zone' - without rushing or panicking. More haste and less speed, as they say.
I had to drop one game from the lineup this series, so this will be part of Series 5 - which I have now ripped half of the game footage.
