In this Factorio video we finally put the outpost factory to use!

We've spend the last few videos setting up the outpost factory, so it's finally time to put it to use. We start off building a rail track out a way from our current walled in area. There we set up a small smart walled in enclosure that will keep our artillery trains safe as we clear the surrounding area. This will uncover new ore deposits and clear the area of biters so that it is safe to build.

Once we have an area clear, we find some nice large ore deposits. So we put a mining outpost blueprint down, and a outpost station. We build the outpost station and rails to it. This calls the outpost build train (once we turn it on automatic).

The outpost builder train comes and stops at the station, and unloads all the materials we need to build the outpost. It also brings a bunch of construction bot to do the construction. It take a bit of time, but the mining outpost is basically built automatically. The only think we have to do manually is power the outpost while it is being built.

Once the outpost is built, it calls a steam train to power itself, and a supply train to deliver ammo and repair supplies. We have one more manual job to do at this point, and that is to make sure all the burner inserters along the wall of the outpost get some coal, as the blue belt that supply them move too quickly for them to pick up from until it backs up (blue belt is used there so we don't need to bring two types of belt on the build and supply trains).

We get the outpost built, and see it survive a few attacks as it's cannon clears some nearby biter spawners. There are a few other nice ore patches, but they will have to wait for the next episode.
