A tiny hand innocently wrapped around the door further revealing a small translucent child. The initial reaction to seeing the ghost was shock like with any other, yet this encounter left Snake feeling conflicted and some what at a loss on how to feel. Still, the child seemed to be guiding a path for the twins and considering he had no idea where to go, he gladly accepted the tour guide.

The child faded away walking down a moon lit corridor from holes in the ceiling. Snake was still aiding his sister with her walking. Laughter raced towards Snake from behind, but it didn't sound half as frightening as that thing earlier. Before he could turn around, a wave of children, all passed on ran past snake down the hall giggling and playing with one another. That's when Snake realised the extent of the pain the village's curse had on its residents. The texts all implied it was the work of the village overseers and brain washed residents all performing unforgivable rituals to appease some wrathful superior entity. When reading the texts, Snake never felt sympathy for the people who willingly killed their children for this demon's approval but seeing the children made it clear, it wasn't just the guilty that suffered. All these children's last moments were fear, agony and unimaginable horror. He couldn't help but feel sad seeing them. But he had an urgent matter to focus on, he needed to get him and his sister out of this village before they too ended up as just a shadow of the past.
