Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (Remaster) - Phase III: The Lost Day
In this Phase, you play as Chōshirō Kirishima. A detective hired by Rukai Minazuki's mother, Sayaka Minazuki, to bring her back from Rougetsu Island. Detective Kirishima was the same detective who found the five girls who had gone missing ten years prior after receiving a tip-off from an unknown informant. Investigations into the Haibara Institute had led him and authorities to suspect that Yo Haibara, a doctor at the facility, together with his father, Shigeto Haibara, the director, were responsible for murdering a number of their patients.
Now ten years later, Choushiro was back on the island, and he wasn't alone. What was Moonlight Syndrome? At first glance it seems they were truly studying a means to cure this condition. But the practices utilized were as baffling as the condition itself. As for the condition itself, could a psychological or neurological disease be "contagious"? Could the Moon truly have something to do with it? And what was it that made the Rougetsu Kagura ceremony so important that every one who was born on the island would return no matter what?
