There may be actions that are done for practical purpose or for no particular purpose in the playthrough; the mandatory actions done in this episode are the following and they can be used as a guide (note that during this playthrough, certain actions can only be done during a short period of time and others can be postponed; note also that there is the possibility I may have missed events like dialogue replacement, sprite change, additional scenes and so on, since those are not generally considered as goals and are not documented at all):
* Obtain an Alexandria Card (timecode: 24:16).
* Ensure that the allocation of the 7 arrows combinations is completed (the 8 cards concerned are Nova Dragon, Alexander, Invincible, Ark, Alexandria, Lindblum, Bahamut and Genji if we take into account the cards ranking criterion I retained for this challenge; details on the criterion can be found in the annex file; timecode: from 24:30 to 25:00).
* Obtain a Genji Card, an Alexandria Card and a Tiger Racket Card as rewards fom skipping 100 times, 200 times and 300 times respectively (the 10 Gil and Cactuar Card rewards for skipping 20 times and 50 times respectively were obtained in Disc 1; timecode: from 26:50 to 28:13).
* Obtain the King of Jump Rope (timecode: 33:02).
* Read the description of the key item "King of Jump Rope" (timecode: 33:15).
Extra info/corrections/comments on this episode:
* As a reminer of what appears in the annex file about how I plan to complete the Tetra Master quest, the task of reaching 9999 losses and draws should be done before collecting the 100 cards, because maximizing the two latter statistics requires using dozens of discardable cards in the inventory. However, I decided to got rid of collecting few cards at first, like the 8 cards that must have 7 arrows and few other cards that must have 6 arrows or 5 arrows according to the cards ranking criterion of the challenge (cards of which Bahamut with 7 arrows and Excalibur II with 6 arrows are the hardest to obtain via Tetra Master).
* Reminder of the cards that must have 7 arrows according to the cards ranking criterion of the challenge (I noticed that I forgot to mention them in first version of the annex file, that has been updated in the meantime): Nova Dragon, Alexander, Invincible, Ark, Alexandria, Lindblum, Bahamut and Genji.
* While a save in King Ed Plains in which 99999 Hot & Cold points are possessed is the best option for the "arrows manipulation" trick, a save outside Treno can be used for the same results (but cards will be obtained at a slower rate); the trick is detailed in the video of which the link is the following:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UPFpeaWcjuA
* The second part of this episode and all the next episode are dedicated to collecting the hardest cards to get from the opponent named Weapon Master Hunt; the goal was to collect an Excalibur II card with 6 arrows (will be done in the next episode), while saving from time to time when the used cards were upgraded, or when Ultima Weapon and Masamune card(s) with 6 arrows were obtained.
* There's a 4 out of 256 chance that Hunt will play an Excalibur II card, and there's a 5 out of 100 chance that a card will have one of the 28 combinations of 6 arrows in FF9. The average number of games required to encounter an Excalibur II card with an unallocated 6 arrows combination is therefore (a little over) 265.48 (considering that 5 cards are played by the opponents during a game most of the time, and that one of the 28 combinations of 6 arrows is already allocated to the Namingway card).
* If we consider my cards ranking criterion of arrows amount allocation as arbitrary and not mandatory, the only mandatory restricitons to observe at the moment regarding cards/Tetra Master is to not discard the Namingway card and to not make the Four-armed Man unavailable.
The following is the link of an annex file containing the details on max stats/items/Tetra Master requirements (notably the trainings):
