Once on the Mountain Path, we trade Quina for the most useless character in the challenge, but we can make do. The most frustrating part about this segment is getting an Oglop before they run away and not getting an encounter afterward. Once you reach the screen with the moogles, set up the party as follows:

Zidane - Exploda, Bandana, --- , Adaman Vest, Gold Choker
(Man Eater)

Dagger - Mythril Rod, Lamia's Tiara, Magic Armlet, Magician Robe,
Madain's Ring

Vivi - Flame Staff, Bandana, --- , --- , Coral Ring

Eiko - Air Racket, Feather Hat, --- , Silk Shirt, ---

With the above setups, Vivi AND Eiko can attack Zidane for 18 damage. With Zidane at full HP, that's the magic number to use Lucky Seven. When Zidane's HP ends in 7, Lucky Seven will randomly deal 7, 77, 777, or 7777 damage. Without Limit Glove, Lucky Seven is the only other method of dealing mass amounts of damage.

Now for Hilgigars. There are three ways to deal the 8106 damage needed to win. A Fira spell from Vivi, a physical attack from Zidane or 777 damage from Lucky Seven, plus the 7777 return on Lucky Seven will do the job. The girls do not have to survive the battle for AP but the guys do.

Zidane - Man Eater, Insomniac, Bird Killer, Auto-Potion
Vivi - Insomniac

Once you exit the Mountain Path, it's a short trip to Madain Sari. Just some running around and picking up treasures are all that goes on here. The Kirman Coffee will be picked up during the return visit.

On the way to the Iifa Tree, return to the Mountain Path and pick up the Green Stone and Ether, and submit the colored stones to the statue near Suzana to receive the missable Moonstone.

Now one of the toughest parts, if not THE toughest of the challenge is upon me, the Iifa Tree and the Zombie Apocalypse!!!
