This map's got a lot of objectives and you only have ten turns to get all of them (or as much as you can get). You want to recruit Duessel and Cormag, all three green cavaliers must stay alive to get a knight crest, you want to save the two villages and there are good items to drop here or there (Horseslayer, Lancereaver, Killing edge, Secret book).

I'll talk about stat boosters a little bit. There are a limited number of stat boosters during the main game and I already had some ideas to give a good number of them to a unit I don't have yet for the final boss. However there are a good number of stat boosters that I can use outside of this character and I'll use them to give me a better chance to deal with some problematic points. Here I chose to give a speedwings and a dracoshield to Seth and an angelic robe to Cormag during the map. +2 speed doesn't let Seth double some mercenaries but it lets him double more enemies or use heavier weapons while Cormag has decent bulk while being a mainstay so I wanted to give him more of that. I initially wanted to give it to Tana (mostly for this map and the next one) but I don't think she'll see that much combat longterm.

Tana needs to wait for Cormag and his squad to move on turn 4 but everyone else rushes forward with Seth leading the charge as usual. I need to go fast for a multitude of reasons : I don't want my opponent to use the chokepoint to his advantage and everyone basically needs to evacuate the starting area because of reinforcements appearing there. Also I want that knight crest so I need to go fast to save the cavaliers as well. Seth and Joshua will choke the point on turn 2 and then Seth will go and distract the enemies with Ephraim, Vanessa and another mounted unit while everyone else there kills the archer, the mercenary and the fighter Seth left alive and begins wasting the fleet's ballista shots.

From there I have a few things to do. I want Vanessa to get the Hero crest from the southern village to give it to Joshua for his promotion, recruit Duessel with Ephraim and block the way with Seth and some other characters. Tana will recruit Cormag at around the same time and run away since she can already barely take one hit from Cormag's wyvern buddies. I can prevent Tana's death by having Cormag next to her so that only one wyvern can attack her (that's also why I gave her an elixir). Seth and Cormag will deal with most of the cavalier reinforcements while Tana goes and tries to get as much experience as she can but she'd also need to get that secret book that only Cormag and her can get safely (and only once the ballista shots are all used up).

On the last turn I have Seth, Joshua and Duessel go through the bridge to get that killing edge and that horseslayer while killing the killer bow archer as well for safety. However I didn't kill the boss since I didn't go near him fast enough but something like a killer axe or a halberd is pretty good against it...but it's not a oneshot because the boss has really high stats for this point in the game. Duessel with a Halberd would have 53 attack against the boss' Lancereaver but his physical bulk is higher (without the terrain taken into account).

I also bought quite a bit of stuff in the armory and the shop in this map, especially because you don't get another armory until chapter 17 (or 14 with the secret shop but that's still late in this map). I still need to buy some things on the world map but I need to do some calcs first.

New units :

Duessel : Duessel is the next good combat unit and I need that since I basically can't have Seth everywhere. He's very strong and bulky while being as fast as Seth and he's one of two combat units with 15 con. Duessel also have very good weapon ranks and I'll try to get to S-rank axes with him. However Duessel has some flaws : he's also weak to horseslayers, armorslayers and the like and as a mounted unit he's also hindered by terrain effects more than other units, which doesn't go well with his 6 move. Honestly he's gonna be a mainstay for the rest of the game imo.

Cormag : Cormag is imo the best flier in the game in this context and route : his availability is decent, his stats are pretty good so he can be a useful combat unit for quite some time and he's very bulky when compared to Tana and Vanessa. He only needs one level to promote and the wyvern knight promotion helps him quite a bit with one of his weaknesses (his mediocre speed). Cormag is also a bit weak to critical hits because of his low luck (and there's a way to deal with this in the last part of the game) but he can at least take an arrow or a ballista shot without dying.
