Byleth, Claude, and the Golden Deer students have driven out the thieves and are now back to the Monastery, along with every student that Byleth has recruited before the war started. The Monastery has gone though a lot throughout the five years, and Rhea has never been found since her disappearance.

As for the rest of the description, I recommend watching the full video before reading past this point of the description

Five years have passed since the Battle of Garreg Mach, and every student have changed their appearances, and none of the Church of Seiros have different appearances, with the exception of Cyril.
All of the Golden Deer students are back together again, and this is the only route where none of your starting students ever leave your side or disappear temporarily, or permanently even, because on Black Eagles, depending on whether you went with Crimson Flower or Silver Snow, you could lose certain units, and for Blue Lions, you temporarily lose a unit, and depending on your actions in Part 1, you could even lose that unit permanently, but with Golden Deer, you don't lose anyone, and Golden Deer is also the only route where you don't get a unit who joins you in Part 2, and even though Hilda is meant to be Claude's second in command, she isn't even exclusive to this route, she is recruited like a normal unit on Blue Lions and Black Eagles if you went with Silver Snow, so the only unit exclusive to Verdant Wind is Claude, I will wait till some later chapters to explain a bit more, because I feel like there are certain characters that could have been playable on this route.
We also notice that on our list of units, Ashe is missing, even though I recruited him in Part 1, and some supports are locked after the timeskip, for example, most of Byleth's C Supports cannot happen after the timeskip, so you have missed your chance if you haven't done so, and there are some supports that are locked to Part 1, like Ingrid and Annette's C Support, and Marianne and Ashe's C Support. Another thing is Byleth's B Support with Ferdinand and Caspar are locked to after the timeskip, so you will have to train up Byleth's Heavy Armor and Brawl skills to recruit them, unless you are doing New Game + where you can get B Support using Renown, even before when you are intended to.
Even though I went over Claude's new class, I could go into a bit of it in detail, Claude's unique class is Wyvern Master, it's like Wyvern Rider, but specializes in bows, and this is the best class for Claude, although he isn't bad as a Wyvern Lord if you invest in Axe, Wyvern Master is better. He does get Failnaught, allowing him to use a Combat Art called Fallen Star, which makes him immune to any attack for a turn, so this is an overpowered Combat Art. For New Game +, the Crest item for Riegan is Star Dragon Sign, very fitting name as Fallen Star is the Combat Art from Failnaught. When you master Wyvern Rider, you get an ability called Pomp & Circumstance, which boosts the unit's Luck and Charm by 4, so it is a decent skill to have.
Then for the quests, and on this route, Hilda is the one that gives you supply quests, and you have to get her two supplies at random, and those are obtained by fishing, greenhouse, and other things, and it does surprise me how plants can last for 5 years, when you have the supplies, talk to Hilda to complete the quest.
Hilda does have another quest, you have to find some flowers, the Gladiolus can be found outside the greenhouse, give it to Hilda to complete the quest.
For other quests, a soldier near the fishing pond will give you a quest, and what you have to do is catch a certain fish, it will have a purple silhouette, and if you catch that fish, the quest is complete. Two people in the entrance hill give you battle quests, and a man at the Marketplace gives you a quest, and the Cornerstone Fragment is at the Cathedral near the ruins, return to him to complete the quest.
I don't think I have went over it in the description of my Blue Lions playthrough, or Azure Moon, in any videos past the timeskip, but students can provide Faculty Training, this is known as Advanced Drills, and I know you can do it during the timeskip and their skill ranks have to be higher than Byleth's to do Advanced Drills, but what I didn't realize is that certain units can do Advanced Drills based on their skill strengths, so for example, Claude can do Advanced Drill for Sword, Bow, Authority, Riding, and Flying, as those are skills he has strengths in, but if you have trained up Ferdinand to be a Wyvern Rider, he cannot do Advanced Drills for Flying, because Ferdinand does not have any strengths in Flying, it is a skill he is neutral in. This can be useful if you want to work on Byleth's skill ranks in certain skills, like Flying or Riding.
