0It is time for another paralogue, this one is Petra and Bernadetta's paralogue. In this one, Petra asks Byleth and Bernadetta to accompany her on her visit to Brigid, Petra's homeland. As Brigid will be under attack by the Empire forces, even going as far as to get Brigid involved in the war, so they set off to Brigid to stop the Imperial troops.

This paralogue is available on all four routes, but on the Crimson Flower route, the enemies you face are different to all the other routes. This is the same map from Marianne's paralogue, except there is no fog of war and no Demonic Beasts.
The objective is to get Petra to her destination, so you have to go through some Imperial troops. You can have Petra take the left and Bernadetta take the right, and some Fortress Knights will appear near the eastern stronghold of the map, so having a magic user take the right path can help, If Petra captures the west stronghold, you get some reinforcements of a Bishop and two Fortress Knights.
On turn 10, or if Petra is near the southeast corner of the map, a large number of reinforcements will show up, three commanders show up, those are an Assassin, Paladin, and Falcon Knight, and Hubert makes another appearance on this map, on the Crimson Flower route, I believe you would fight Catherine instead, but I won't go too much into it, other than Catherine having Thunderbrand, which can easily take out any unit with a low Defense stat.
Hubert has Meteor, which is a spell he can't even get as a playable unit, I've seen people call them siege tomes, as they have very long range, and Hubert has a high Magic stat, and he will try to target your weaker units, specially ones with a low Res stat. He has Fiendish Blow and Heartseeker, and he has an ability called Paragon which doubles the unit's EXP gain, and it is not available on any playable units. His Battalion is Vestra Sorcery Engineers, which have the Gambit of Resonant Lightning, which has a very wide range and works as magic damage. He has low Defense, so if you have a unit with Warp, you can send them to where Hubert is and take him out easily, if you have Petra equipped with the Killing Edge and get really lucky with a critical hit, she can take out Hubert in one attack, that is if you have levelled up Petra to a high enough level. Hubert does have special battle quotes if you let Petra or Bernadetta fight him.
For the commanders, the Assassin has a Silver Sword and high Speed, and he has Poison, his Battalion is Empire Raiders with Absorption. The Paladin has a Silver Lance with good Strength and Defense, and has the Empire Knights Battalion with Blaze, and the Falcon Knight has a Silver Lance and has Avo +10, so she can avoid attacks easier, I'm sure it's a female, because Falcon Knight is a class that only female units can go into, she has good Speed and decent Strength, Defense, and Resistance, and has a Battalion called Empire Pegasus Co., which use Group Lance Attack for the Gambit. If you let Hubert or any of the Imperial commanders reach their destination, that will count as a loss.
Once you have defeated Hubert and all of the Imperial troops, you have completed this paralogue, and you will earn three Battalions. First is Varley Archers for Bernadetta, it requires a B Rank in Authority and gives boosts to Hit, Charm, and Protection, and the Gambit is Fusillade.
Petra is the one with two Battalions, the first one is Brigid Hunters, which gives boosts to Crit rate, Avoid, and Charm, so this goes well with Petra's chances of getting a critical hits, it requires a B Rank in Authority, and the Gambit is Poison Tactic, which has a 5x3 triangle area of effect and any units caught in the Gambit will be poisoned. The other one is Brigid Mercenaries, which has Strength, Hit, Cirtical rate, and Charm for boosts, and the Gambit is Onslaught, and it requires an E Rank in Authority.
