Freezing with the Alt key exploit - Minecraft
17As you know, the Alt key freezes the process and frees the mouse cursor, despite constraining it between the window's borders. I know this froze the gameplay in singe player, but what if a client were to do this in multiplayer? Would his position, angle, etc. be updated as soon as he unfreezes? Would the server freeze waiting for him? Would he just stay in place? Would he desync?
Me and a friend tried it, and well... The results are both fun and useful. When the Alt key is pressed, the client's game freezes. The character freezes in place (even in mid-air), is unmovable, and, for the most part, is invulnerable. This can be abused in certain situations. Every detail of what we know is explained in the video.
If you can find further info about this exploit, let me know! By the way, I do not encourage you to grief or cheat using this exploit. I like seeing a few griefing videos myself, but... well, if you're abusing this exploit, don't go around saying I told you to do so.
