GigaBash is a chaotic kaiju-themed 4-way party brawler! Battles take place in highly destructible environments, that are beautifully rendered and dense with detail. The game features a variety of modes, arenas, and 10 playable generic characters, as well as DLC packs that add Godzilla and Ultra-man to the roster!

It's a fun party game, not a high-skill competitive one. It's extremely straight-forward, and controls are rather simple for all characters, making it easy to get into and lenient when you want to switch characters. There is also a great mini-game mode too that uses the base game well while adding fun and variety. However, the AI characters in this mode are abysmal, so real players are essential.

Unfortunately, the solo and co-op modes feel like an afterthought and add little new to the game. Arcade mode and wave mode just present a set of linear challenges using the basic game. Story mode is similar, but adds some objectives and boss fights, and wraps it in a flimsy but enjoyable 2-hour campaign. Unfortunately, these modes too are can also be hindered by the poor AI.

The biggest issue with the game is the low online player numbers and underwhelming online performance. Given that the solo modes are repetitive, it likely only provides a few short hours of engagement, meaning the only long-term option for enjoying this game is if you have friends, you can play locally with.

In summary, the game has its flaws, but it is endearing and feels crafted with passion, even if most of the content is just variations of the same basic game. playing solo, there is a few solid hours of entertainment here, but fighting poor AI enemies will never compare to playing locally with friends, or to a lesser extent, the online experience.

Overall, I give this game 69%, but with this game your mileage may vary.

Title: GigaBash

Summary:

After centuries spent slumbering in the bowels of the earth, the primordial beasts known as Titans have awoken. Now they must battle humanity - and one another - for total world dominance. GigaBash combines the chaos and creativity of titles like Power Stone, Super Smash Bros Ultimate and War of Monsters with the jaw-dropping scale of the classic kaiju movies. Play as either a rampaging Titan or a Titan-hunting mecha; summon lightning from the heavens, use a radio tower as a baton, or roll a whole district (and your enemies) into a single massive snowball. Wreak enough havoc and you'll evolve into your final form, the terrifyingly titanic S-Class.
