Golf Famicom / NES CRT TV Playthrough asmr
Released 5/1/1984, Golf for Famicom was developed by Saturo Iwata and others at HAL Laboratory for Nintendo along with other early games. He managed to fit an 18-hole course on a cartridge that other developers said would be impossible to do. This likely explains why there is no music--there was simply no room. Another possibility for why there is no music is the target customer for this game is dads, who probably prefer peace and quiet.
Some have questioned if Mario is the playable character, but I think it makes more sense that this is Mario's dad. He is tall like Luigi and looks suspiciously like Mario. Actually, my theory is that the player in white is the twin brother of the guy in red, who is Mario's father. If this were the case, maybe Mario's mom is short like him and skinny like Luigi?
I am considering a playthrough to be beating the Top score. I played on an original NES using a NES Advantage controller, RCA cables, and a Sharp X-Flat 27" CRT TV.
