Lode Runner Famicom / NES CRT TV Playthrough asmr
1Released 7/31/84, Lode Runner on Famicom was an upgraded and abridged port by Hudson Soft of the original computer game developed by Bröderbund. Using sprites reminiscent of Bomberman, this upgrade would have been eye candy to contemporary gamers. The level editor would allow one to create custom designs and save them to tape. In theory, one could recreate the 100 levels left out from the original game. With Nuts & Milk and Lode Runner, Hudson would release the first two games with level editors on the Famicom (I consider Family Basic edutainment). It could be this infuenced Nintendo to add the feature to some of their titles.
I am considering a playthrough to be completion of all 50 levels using level select after game overs. I played on an original NES with a Game Genie adapter (see Shorts) to allow for playing a Famicom cartridge. I am using a NES Advantage controller, RCA cables, and a Sharp X-Flat 27" CRT TV.
