This is a demonstration of Halo: Combat Evolved with the X-Fi Titanium's native CMSS-3D HRTF. It's such a tragedy that this popular franchise never made the jump to PC, because Gearbox's port of CE blows the Xbox version away. The controls feel tighter, the graphics look sharp in HD resolutions, and the sound quality is just magnificent. You can really hear the EAX reverb and occlusion prominently throughout "Truth and Reconcilation". Unfortunately, the binaural audio isn't very accurate, but at least you can still kind of hear it.

EAX was a real pain to get set up; the weapon sounds will cut out unless you set Duration to 5 in ALchemy. You'll hear some popping, but at least the gun sounds will play right. The fix mentioned on PC Gaming Wiki does not work at all.

I'm playing Custom Edition v1.10 with Moses' Refined Campaign and Chimera installed for interpolated 60fps animation and a higher vertical FOV. I'm also using the Halo Mouse Tool v6 plugin to remove 90% of the mouse acceleration. When I made this video, I didn't know, but there's already a Chimera update that removes 100% of the mouse acceleration (-556). If you're even just a mild Halo fan (which is still more than I have ever been), then you absolutely owe it to yourself to re-install Halo CE and play it with Chimera.
