27A short intermission from the Xeno Effect run to momentarily visit a dark house in the woods. Or well, checking the code, apparently being mugged and left for dead in a dark house in the middle of the woods. Took me a while to wiretear this one, removing that big ol' flashlight battery indicator so Ugly as Sin's lighting instruments can shine better in this environment.
Was in a bit of a rush to play, unfortunately, so I couldn't quite get rid of bits that are tied to picking up items, which breaks a little whether by Ugly as Sin's scarcity mechanics or some of HDest's replacements that don't quite trigger the special when used. Thankfully, the latter provides an alternate solution by way of the doorbusters. Not everyday do I use the little pretties to finish a map, so I'm glad the run gives me a reason to by the end.
Bit of a risky move to run it on Naturist. You'll note I never wanted to enter the kitchen room as a result. The ambush with the shotgunners is a consistent run ender due to the fact that I can't deal with 4 gunmen at once while not wearing armor. Heck, even with armor I still think it's one devious trap that'll probably get me killed if one of the shotgunners were to be replaced by rifle jackboots. I suppose the SSG spawn from the toilet secrets could have possibly spawned a Liberator for me to use in that section, but 2 toilets in I figured maybe I just shouldn't bother. Not a perfect run, but I'm still happy with it.
