Hideous Destructor | Doom Raider 2020 | No Failure Run | Part 1
27Was late again, I know. This run was done today, so processing it took a while. Had to split it in two again 'cause I took a while in the map. Pretty big map though, can't deny. Very amused that apparently the mapper isn't fond of TR at all. It'd be like if I decide out of nowhere to create a modern CoD-like campaign despite not being fond of those, regen HP and all. Truly confounding.
Since WotW is in a bit of a break for a while thanks to my voice being out, I figured I'd try to make up for it a bit by running this ol' thing with HDest. Of course, it'd be one thing if I just ran the map regularly, but I also did something I've been planning to do for a long time but haven't 'cause of laziness.
Cobbled up a proper classic TR themed HDest reskin set! All modelshots from the original models, no look-a-likes here. Also got playerskins set up with two different options, I'm using TR4/5/6's Lara for today. Just finished all of that today, so this run was an immediate go after I released it on the big thread.
The older version of the map was a no go thanks to the reliance on Dehacked. This one's mainly in Decorate, so wiretearing it was significantly easier. Goodness knows I had to, 'cause the dev somehow missed the gloves being mismatched, among other things I'd usually chalk to Barhoodal mods, but I'd rather not rant here. The map's excellent, and the encounters while sometimes mean is very doable in HDest, so that's what I'm doing today.
