How far can you travel in Need for Speed Most Wanted?
If you've played NFS Most Wanted for any amount of time, you've probably seen or tried the so called "Master Glitch" (as Dillano609 called it, remember him?). The glitch is typically used to reduce the final pursuit time drastically, but it can be used to explore out of bounds. So, how far can you go in the map of Rockport.
Well... it depends. Keep in mind that the origin of the map is around the Downtown Rockport text on the minimap, and that north is along the -Y axis instead of south. If we head south (positive Y), the game will crash relatively quickly, at just shy of Y: 12000. I'm not too sure on the boundaries of the X axis, but from a short test the limit seems to be better. In this video, I head north (negative Y), and I'm able to go much further. If you go along the X axis, you'll see the minimap repeat itself.
I wonder if the "flipped" map has something to do with getting around the crash issue along the positive Y axis and it was just quicker to flip the map around. I don't know the details of the underpinnings of this game, so someone should look into it.
Anyway, it takes around six or seven hours to get to where I got to, so like... don't bother. It's not worth it.
