About this video: I've always thought it would be so cool to add an underwater dimension to Minecraft, and now, you can with the Atlantis mod for Minecraft 1.16.5! Truthfully, I think underwater in Minecraft 1.16.5 has a lot of room to improve, and that is what Atlantis tries to do by creating a complete underwater world that has custom blocks, biomes, and much, much more. So, without anymore delay, here is how to download and install the Atlantis mod in Minecraft 1.16.5.
The first step of getting Atlantis 1.16.5 is downloading and install Forge. The good news is we have a complete tutorial in the description above for downloading, installing, and setting up Forge for Minecraft mods like Atlantis. It goes over everything you could ever need to know when getting Forge including how to fix any issues you may have.
Now that you have Forge, we can move on to downloading Atlantis for Minecraft 1.16.5. You can find the Atlantis mod download page in the description above. Once you are there, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section on the right-hand side. Under that, you will see the Minecraft 1.16.5 version of Atlantis. Make sure you are getting the Forge version and click the orange download button to the right of it. Your download will begin after a few seconds, and you will have to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
At this point, we can move on to installing Atlantis in Minecraft 1.16.5. To get the Atlantis dimension, we need to open up the Minecraft launcher. In the launcher click the little arrow next to the play button and select Forge. Then, click the green Play button. When you do this, Minecraft will open up with Forge.
To install the Atlantis mod for Minecraft 1.16.5, click on the ‘Mods’ tab on the Minecraft main menu. Then click ‘Open Mods Folder’ in the bottom left of the mods page. Your Minecraft mods folder will then open up. All you need to do in order to install Atlantis in Minecraft 1.16.5 is drag-and-drop the Atlantis file you downloaded into this mod folder.
The last step of adding Atlantis to Minecraft is simple. You just need to restart Minecraft making sure you are still playing with Forge. When you do this, Minecraft 1.16.5 will open up with Atlantis installed. You can now access the Atlantis dimension and start getting all of the awesome benefits in has!
