About this video: This video shows you how to make a SkyBlock Minecraft server. This server will be great for just you and a few friends, but it will also be a great server if you want to make a public SkyBlock server. We do this by showing you the SkyBlock plugins you will need in order to make a SkyBlock server that is great and with the right configuration can be a truly custom and amazing SkyBlock server.
First things first though, we want to mention that the easiest way to start a truly awesome SkyBlock server is with Apex Minecraft Hosting. At Apex, you can setup a SkyBlock server in just a few clicks with all of the main and awesome features that you would want on your own SkyBlock server. As far as making your own SkyBlock server from scratch the first thing you will need do it is get a SkyBlock plugin. With that, we recommend using Iridium SkyBlock. This is the most inclusive SkyBlock plugin for newer versions of Minecraft is Iridium SkyBlock. It has generators, island upgrades, SkyBlock challenges, etc. all built in. Technically, that is all you need to get a SkyBlock server. However, there are other plugins that we recommend.
Other plugins we recommend for SkyBlock servers is EssentialsX, LuckPerms, DeluxeMenus, Auction House, Holographic Displays, Ultra Minions, Featherboard, ShopGUIPlus, Vault, WorldEdit, and World Guard. There are too many plugins here to go in-depth with all of them, so I’m only going to go through a few here.
The first is LuckPerms. This is the best permissions out there and makes it super easy to update permissions. DeluxeMenus is next up, and this is used to create menus and can be used for /is menus and other menus like warps, kits, etc. After that, let’s move on to Ultra Minions. Minions are a must have on SkyBlock servers these days, and UltraMinions is a great plugin for minions and will give you a lot of customization opinions. After that, we have ShopGUIPlus. This is used for /shop in game, and will allow players to buy and sell items from/to the server.
There are hundreds of other plugins you could potentially use in SkyBlock. However, these plugins or one similar to them are used in pretty much all SkyBlock servers currently out there. Some of these plugins are paid, but they are well worth the money for the better support and the reliability of them.
