Thus, without any more delay, here is how to download and install The Lost Cities in Minecraft 1.16.5!
Before we can install The Lost Cities, we need to make sure we download and install the Forge mod loader for 1.16.5. The good news is we have a complete guide on setting up Forge for The Lost Cities and other Minecraft mods in the description above. That tutorial goes over everything in regards to Forge, and it even shows you how to fix a lot of the issues you could have when installing mods like The Lost Cities.
After you have Forge, we can move on to downloading The Lost Cities mod for Minecraft 1.16.5. You can find the link to the official The Lost Cities download page on CurseForge above in the description. Once you are on The Lost Cities download page, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under that, you will see the 1.16.5 version of The Lost Cities. Click the orange download button to the right of this version, and the download will begin. You will need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
Once you have The Lost Cities mod downloaded, we can get it installed. To do this, open up the Minecraft launcher and select the Forge profile by clicking the little arrow next to the play button. Then, select Forge, and click ‘Play’. You will have to click Play again confirming you know you’re playing modded Minecraft. When you do this, Minecraft 1.16.5 will open up with Forge. From the Minecraft main menu, click on the ‘mods’ button. Then, click the ‘open mods folder’ button in the bottom left of the mods page. Your mods folder will open. Now, to install The Lost Cities mod in Minecraft 1.16.5, just drag-and-drop The Lost Cities file you downloaded into this mods folder.
You aren’t completely done just yet though. To actually play Minecraft with The Lost Cities mod, you will need to restart Minecraft just make sure you are playing it with Forge. In Minecraft, click on single-player and create a new world. Just make sure you change your world settings and configure The Lost Cities mod.
