Changing the frame rate or limiting the FPS on your Steam Deck is quite straightforward. Here are the steps:

Press the Steam Button on the front of your Steam Deck.
Navigate to Settings.

Scroll down to Performance and select it.

Highlight the Refresh Rate feature and adjust the slider to your desired rate (e.g., 40Hz).

Set the Frame Rate Limit to your preferred value (e.g., 30, 40, or 60 FPS) or turn it off altogether
