How to Play Your Games Offline on Steam Deck (Offline Mode)
Playing your games offline on the Steam Deck is straightforward. You just need to prepare in advance by making sure your games are downloaded and configured to work without an internet connection. Here's how you can do it:
Step 1: Download and Install Games
Ensure Games are Installed: Before going offline, make sure all the games you want to play are fully downloaded and installed on your Steam Deck.
Step 2: Enable Offline Mode in Steam
Go Online to Prepare:
Launch Steam on your Steam Deck while connected to the internet.
Log in to your Steam account if you aren't already logged in.
Check Game Files:
Make sure your game files are up-to-date. Steam might need to sync or verify files before you can play them offline.
For cloud-saved games, ensure that your save files are synced to your Steam Deck.
Go to Steam Settings:
Press the Steam button - Settings - Account.
Enable Offline Mode:
In the Account section, scroll down and find the Go Offline button.
Click Go Offline. Steam will restart in Offline Mode.
Note: Once in Offline Mode, Steam will not require an internet connection to play your downloaded games.
Step 3: Play Your Games Offline
Launch Your Games:
In Offline Mode, navigate to your Library and select the games you want to play.
You can launch and play them just like you would when connected to the internet.
