How to Change Name on TikTok 2025 – Name & Username
1In this video I show you how to change name on TikTok. To change your name on TikTok you will need go to your profile and select the Edit Profile button just above your bio or below your following count. With the Edit Profile menu open you will see your current name listed, as well as your username.
If you want to change your name on TikTok then you will need to select the Name option, then remove your current name and enter in the new name you want to use. Unfortunately, you can only change your name every 7 days. Because of this you will want to ensure you are happy with your name and have spelled it correctly. To confirm you will need to tap on the Save button then select Confirm. It’s important to know that your TikTok name is what will be seen on comments, and be seen at the top of your profile.
Alternatively, you can change your username on TikTok, which is your account handle. Your username is what people will use to find or link to your profile. To change your TikTok username you will need to select Username and replace your current username with the new one. Once done you will need to click Save and confirm your new TikTok username. Similar to your name, you are limited to how often you can change your TikTok username. However, you can only change your username on TikTok once every 30 days.
