Fix High Ping in Roblox – Get Lower Ping & Fix Lag Spikes
In this video I show you how to fix high ping in Roblox. Depending on the situation high ping may result in lag spikes in Roblox. One possible solution to lower ping in Roblox is to switch servers. It’s possible that you’re playing in a Roblox server that is far away from you, resulting in the high ping. You can switch servers by clicking the server icon in the top-right corner when in a Roblox game. Ideally, you will want to play in a server in your state, or country. However, if none are available then you’ll need to select something close to you. Fortunately, there is a search box that you can use to search for filters in a certain state or country.
Another option to fix high ping in Roblox pc is to perform a Winsock reset and flush your DNS. This can help fix ping issues if it’s being caused by your network or an issue on your device. To perform a Winsock reset and flush your DNS you will need to open the command prompt application as an administrator. Once done you will then need to use a series of commands one at a time. After the process has finished you can then move onto the next command. After you have used all the commands you will need to restart your computer to complete the process.
Alternatively, if you have high ping in Roblox then you can also try restarting your modem or router. You can do this by turning off your modem or router and leaving it off for at least 30 seconds. Once done you can then turn your modem and router back on and check if your high ping issue is fixed.
Another reason why you might have high ping is because someone on your network is uploading or downloading something. Fortunately, this can be fixed by waiting for the download or upload to finish, or by stopping the process all together.
You can also try to lower your ping by closing applications that may be using your internet. This can be done by clicking the cross in the corner of the application to close it. However, sometimes applications will remain open in the background. You can fix this by opening the hidden icons menu on the taskbar, the right-click on the application and choose to Quit or Exit.
Another great way to lower ping is to use an ethernet connection. An ethernet connection will provide a more stable, reliable, and fast connection when playing Roblox. However, it’s not always possible to use an ethernet cable to connect to the internet. Instead, you may have 2 versions of your Wi-Fi. If you have 2 Wi-Fi options, then they will typically have the same name but with 5G or 2.4G at the end. The 5G option provides better speeds at shorter ranges. However, the 2.4G option is typically better at long ranges, providing a more stable connection. If you do have 2 versions of your Wi-Fi, then you can try both options to see which one gives you lower ping in Roblox.
By reducing your ping in Roblox you will typically make Roblox less laggy in general. This is because you will have a better connection to the servers resulting in your inputs being recognised quicker. Additionally, it's always best to play on a server that is close to you, if possible. This combined with other solutions can help ensure you have a better experience playing Roblox.
