Fix Roblox Error Code 403 – Authentication Failed
In this video I show you how to fix Roblox error code 403. This error is often accompanied by a message that says authentication failed. There are several possible solutions for the 403 error code on Roblox. One solution is to uninstall and reinstall the Roblox application. When doing this you will want to ensure you also delete the Roblox application files in case one of them is causing the issue. Once done you can then install Roblox again to fix the authentication failed error.
Another possible way to fix the Roblox 403 error code is to open Roblox as an administrator. You can do this by finding the Roblox shortcut and choosing to open the file location. Doing so will take you to a file explorer with all of the Roblox folders. In this folder is an application file called RobloxPlayerBeta which is the game file. To run Roblox as administrator you can right-click and open the properties for the RobloxPlayerBeta file, then go to compatibility and check the “Run this program as an administrator” box. Once done you will need to Apply your settings and attempt to play Roblox. If the authentication error isn’t fixed then you can remove the administrator permission and try another solution.
If you’re still getting the roblox authentication failed error code 403 then you may need to sign out other Roblox accounts that have used your device is the past. For example, if you have previously signed into your device with an alt account or old account, had a friend play their account on your device, or had a sibling play on your device.
Fortunately, Roblox allows you to sign out from other devices through the app or the website. This means you can have a friend sign out of the session on your account from their device. Alternatively, you can sign into the account on the Roblox website, then go to the Security settings on the account. Here you can see the sessions and devices your account is signed into. To sign out of a session you will need to click the arrow icon, then click the “Log Out of Session” button.
Another option is to restart your modem or router. When doing so you will need to turn your modem or router off for at least 30 seconds before turning it back on. Once done you can try playing Roblox to fix the 403 error. However, if the authentication failed message is still appearing then you can tr restarting your PC or laptop to fix the issue.
