This video will show you how to change the fractional reserve volume option in Data OnTap via the command line interface. Fractional Reserve is generally used for volumes that contain LUNs. Lets say you have a space reserved LUN on a volume, and you also take SnapShot copies on that volume. By setting your fractional reserve to 100% you guarantee that those LUNs will have the space they need to overwrite data on the volume without the need to delete snapshot copies. If you don't have fractional reserve set to 100% on a volume containing a space-reserved LUN then you may want to make sure snapshot autodelete is enabled on that volume. . .
