How to List your Snapshot Copies in Data OnTap CLI by Nicholas Lee Fagan

In the video I show you how to use the 'snap list' command to list your snapshot copies using Data OnTap's command line interface. The snap list command can be used by administrators to determine which snapshot copies to delete to free the most disk space.
You can delete a snapshot manually by using the following syntax:
snap delete volume_name snapshot_name
If you try to delete the snapshot copy and it is busy or locked Data OnTap will display what activity is in progress that's causing this. It's going to tell you that you need to do a 'snapvault release' or a 'snapmirror release' to unlock the snapshot copy.
Here is the typical error message you would get:
Can't delete oldsnapshot: snapshot is in use by snapvault.
Use the 'snapvault status -l' to find out why. . .
