Enabling Nintendo Switch Pro Controller support on Steam is straightforward. You can follow these steps:

Opt into Steam Beta:
Navigate to the Settings menu in Steam.
Under the Account section, change your Beta Participation status to opt in.
Your Steam browser will restart and download the beta update.

Connect the Pro Controller:

Plug your Pro Controller into your PC using the USB cable that came with the controller.

Configure Controller Settings:
Go back to the Settings menu in Steam.

Click the Controller tab, then select General Controller Settings.
Ensure that Switch Pro Controller Configuration Support is checked.
The controller should already be calibrated, but you can recalibrate it if needed.

Button Mapping:

Since most game controller support corresponds to Xbox controllers, Steam will automatically swap the A, B, X, and Y inputs to match the Pro Controller layout.

If you prefer the Nintendo button layout, uncheck the box next to Use Nintendo Button Layout.

Advanced Configuration (Optional):
In Big Picture Mode, press the glowing Home button on the Pro Controller to bring up the overlay.
