How to Connect PS5 Controller to Android Phone & Switch between Multiple Devices (Best Method)
9Pairing a PS5 DualSense controller with an Android phone is a simple process. The controller uses Bluetooth, allowing you to connect it to any compatible device. Additionally, recent updates to the PS5 controller's firmware allow it to remember multiple devices, making it easier to switch between them.
Part 1: Connect to Your Android Phone
Turn off the controller: Make sure your PS5 controller is not connected to any other device and its lights are off. If the lights are on, press and hold the PS button until they turn off.
Activate pairing mode: Press and hold the PS button and the Create button (the small button to the left of the touchpad) at the same time. Hold them until the light bar starts to flash blue. This indicates the controller is in pairing mode.
Go to your phone's Bluetooth settings: On your Android phone, go to Settings Connected devices Bluetooth. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on.
Pair the controller: In the list of available devices, you should see "DualSense Wireless Controller". Tap on it to pair. The light bar on the controller will stop flashing and turn solid when it's successfully connected.
Part 2: Switch Between Multiple Devices đ
With a recent PS5 system software update, the DualSense controller can now remember up to four different devices. This eliminates the need to re-pair it every time you switch.
Register a new device: When you first pair a controller with a new device, it will be assigned to a "slot." The controller's player indicator lights (1 to 4) will blink to show which slot the device has been assigned to.
Switching devices: To switch between your registered devices, simply turn on the device you want to connect to. Then, press and hold the PS button along with the action button (Triangle, Circle, Cross, or Square) that corresponds to the slot of that device.
Slot 1: PS button + Triangle
Slot 2: PS button + Circle
Slot 3: PS button + Cross (X)
Slot 4: PS button + Square
Confirm the connection: Hold the buttons for about three seconds. The light bar will blink, and the controller will connect to the assigned device.
