How to Disable the Lock Screen on Samsung Phone for Password, Pin or Pattern
Disable Screen Lock via Settings on Samsung Phone
These steps apply to Samsung phones running One UI (e.g., One UI 4.0, 5.0, 6.0, or later) on models like Galaxy S23, A54, Z Fold 6, etc.
Open the Settings App:
Tap the Settings app (gear icon) on the home screen or in the app drawer.
Go to Lock Screen Settings:
Scroll to and tap Lock Screen.
On older One UI versions (e.g., One UI 3.0), it may be under Biometric and Security or Lock Screen and Security.
Select Screen Lock Type:
Tap Screen Lock Type (or Screen Lock on some models).
Enter your current PIN, password, or pattern to verify your identity. If biometrics (fingerprint/face) are set up, you may use those instead.
Choose None to Disable:
In the Screen Lock Type menu, select None.
A warning may appear about removing encryption or app security. Tap Remove or OK to confirm.
This disables the password, PIN, or pattern lock.
Remove Biometrics (If Applicable):
If you use fingerprint or face recognition, go to Settings - Biometric and Security (or Lock Screen - Biometrics).
Select Fingerprints or Face Recognition, then tap Remove or Delete for each stored biometric. Confirm with your backup PIN/password if prompted.
