About this video: In this video, we show you how to download and install ArmorStatusHUD in Minecraft 1.16.5. In truth though, ArmorStatusHUD isn’t updated for Minecraft 1.16.5. In order to get the features ArmorStatusHUD has in addition to additional features, we are going to be downloading, installing, and setting up the InventoryHUD+ mod. Thus, for the purpose of this tutorial, when I say ArmorStatusHUD, I’m talking about the InventoryHUD+ mod.
What is so great about the InventoryHUD+ mod? Well, it not only allows you to see the status of your armor at all times just like the ArmorStatusHUD mod, but InventoryHUD+ also lets you see your entire inventory and potion effects all at the same time in your HUD. This is super helpful not only for PvP, but with being able to see your inventory while you are exploring and surviving as well. So, without any more delay, here is how to get InventoryHUD+ in Minecraft 1.16.5!
The first step of getting the InventoryHUD+ mod is downloading and install Forge. Luckily, we a complete guide on getting Forge for 1.16.5 in the description above. Not only will this work with ArmorStatusHUD, but it will also work with other Minecraft mods. We even show you how to fix some issues you could have when installing Forge.
After you have Forge installed, we can move on to downloading InventoryHUD+. You can find the official download link for InventoryHUD+/ArmorStatusHUD in the description above. Once you are there, look at the right-hand side and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under this section, you will see a ‘Forge 1.16.5’ version of InventoryHUD+. Click the orange download link to the right of this version, and ArmorStatusHUD will start downloading for 1.16.5!
It is now time to install InventoryHUD+ in Minecraft 1.16.5. To do this, press the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ at the exact same time. The Run application will then open. In the text box in this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. Your Roaming folder will then open up. In this folder, you will see a ‘.minecraft’ folder. Open that, and you will see a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t, create one! Open your mods folder, and drag-and-drop the InventoryHUD+ file you downloaded into the mods folder.
You have now installed ArmorStatusHUD in Minecraft 1.16.5. You will need to make sure you open up Minecraft with Forge. To do that, open up the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the Play button, and select ‘Forge’, and click Play. Minecraft 1.16.5 will open up with InventoryHUD+. To change the settings in InventoryHUD+ click ‘mods’ from the Minecraft Forge main menu. Then, click on the InventoryHUD+ mod. Finally, you will see an ‘Options’ button. Click that, and you change the settings for InventoryHUD+.
