First things first, what are Minecraft mods? Well, Minecraft mods are typically best on Minecraft Java Edition, check out our video above about the different versions of Minecraft, so that is what we are going to be using in this video. However, Minecraft mods are modifications you can add to Minecraft that change, add, or adapt different parts of the game. For example, you could install a Minecraft mod to add cars to Minecraft, new tools to Minecraft, or to adapt sprinting/running to make it easier to do. There are thousands of different Minecraft mods who all do different things.
Now we can move on to are Minecraft mods safe for your kids? Simply yes, but as with anything, make sure you are looking at the mods BEFORE you let your child play them just to make sure there is nothing out of the ordinary in them. We, by and large, only allow PG mods on our channel, so if you see a mod from us, it is most likely safe to install that mod.
So how do you install Minecraft mods for your kids? Well, first off you will need Forge. Forge is a Minecraft mod loader that basically allows mods to work in Minecraft. We show you how to install Forge in this video, but we also have an in-depth guide to installing Forge linked in the description above. That will help you get Forge without any issues or problems. You must have Forge to run Minecraft mods for your kinds.
After you have Forge, you will need to find Minecraft mods suitable for your children. We have a link in the description above to the best, safest place to download Minecraft mods from. Most likely, you will be able to find the Minecraft mods your kids are looking for there.
