The first step of getting Botania is actually downloading and install Forge. You can find our in-depth tutorial for download and installing Forge in the description above. We have helped over one million people setup Forge for Minecraft, and we are sure to help you out. You must have Forge in order to install Botania 1.16.4.
After you have Forge, it is time to learn how to download the Botania mod for Minecraft 1.16.4! To do this, you want to click the download Botania link in the description above. That will take you to Botania’s official download page. Once you are here, look at the right-hand side bar, and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under this section, you will see a version of Botania. Click the purple download button next to this, and your download will begin after a few seconds.
You also need to repeat the above download process for the Patchouli and Curios API mods that are linked in the description above. Both of these mods will need to be installed with Botania in order for it to work in Minecraft 1.16.4.
Now that you have Botania and its required mods downloaded, it is time to get them installed. You can do this by pressing the Windows Key on your keyboard and R at the same time. That will open the Run app. In the text box in this app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. That will open your roaming folder. Here, you will see a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you should see a mods folder. If you don’t have a mods folder, create one. Open your mods folder.
At this point, it is very, very easy to install Botania in Minecraft 1.16.4. All you need to do is drag-and-drop Botania, the Curious API, and Patchouli into your mods folder. You have now installed Botania 1.16.4.
You aren’t complete done though. You still need to open the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the play button, select Forge, and click play. When you do that, Minecraft 1.16.4 will open up with Botania installed!
